bek it would count as unemployment if you actually started a job at some time and then lost it.

Plenty of hay haulers going down I-20 daily. There is literally no forage for cattle in Texas and around Shreveport.

I've never been to Louisiana, or even driven through, so this is just my humble opinion, emphasis on opinion . . .an opinion influenced by the popular Louisiana TV program, "Billy the Exterminator," which always makes me ask "Why would anybody want to live there?"

So perhaps that's why there is a low unemployment rate -- not enough people willing to move there to raise the unemployment numbers.

Just before the "Billy" program starts there is that wonderful sign that opens the show and which says "Welcome to Louisiana" -- !!! followed by a living display of wildlife including alligators, mahogany wasps, black widow spiders, roaches, wildcats, bats, poisonous and very venomous snakes, and other creepy crawlers all of which are infesting horse farms, golf courses, city halls, businesses, and private homes. -- egads!

Welcome to Louisiana???
People move with jobs. Ever see Sons of Guns?

This business about "why would anybody want to live there?" based on Billy the exterminator is nonsense. Extremely dirty filthy people are the usual cause of bugs and more bugs. Yeah its warm here. So is Florida. But nobody ever says anything about Florida's bugs and snakes.

Believe it or not alot of people live in Louisiana that would never ever live anywhere else. With the economy the way it is, why would anybody in Louisiana with a job move to another state where the unemployment is higher or worse yet the economy has collapsed? I sure won't; you can bank on it.

The other day my lady said "Where else would you wanna live?!" Because I'm always talking about Louisiana.
I couldn't live anywhere else for too long or I'd go crazy. Gumbo is what we eat on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The turkey is there too but it's all about the gumbo and seafood dressing.

Welcome to Louisiana???
And Texas is full of Rattle Snakes, black widows, scorpions...even turantula spiders. Hasn't stopped it from attracting people from everywhere...even blessed Virginia.

Don't even get me started on Arizona and all their horrible creepy crawlies.

Also, you should be smart enough to know that reality tv sensationalizes everything. Jersey Shore, anyone? Pretty sure everyone in New Jersey isn't like those kids, but you wouldn't know from watching the show. If a television show revealed to you that Louisiana is just as dull as every other state, you wouldn't be watching the show, would you?

Smatten up!
