I've always been a fan of Louisiana, and I'm from Ladue, MO. So I was just being curious, what IS the wealthiest area in Louisiana?

I think by numbers it's Tangipahoa Parish.

Are you SURE it's not St. Tammany Parish? I wanna say St. Tammany Parish has the highest per capita income. Tangipahoa is kinda rough north of Hammond for the most part. I mean, some of those little old railroad towns off US 51 have some nice little downtown streets, but there doesn't seem to be tons of wealth around there in general.

It would probably be St. Tammany Parish. It's known for being heavily white and heavily affluent.

Gotta be St. Tammany by parishes, but some of the areas of Uptown and in Old Metairie are also very wealthy. There's a census tract in North Louisiana that has a $150,000 average household income, and a 50% poverty rate. If you want to get technical, that's the richest area in Louisiana.
