it the bridge on I-10 in lake Charles. I just heard they takeing off the cross pistols on the bridge. why they doing this. it history of the pirates that was around here and is looks to me most people like that idea around here as we have countral band days here and people dress up as pirites for a lot of parties.
why they doing this?
Or am I hearing just a story that is not true?

I don't see why they would. Its the only good thing about the bridge. Hopefully they replace it.

They are replacing them. There are plans to replace the bridge with an 8-lane bridge in the future, since that one is practically dilapidated.

I can't find the link and don't know if it still exists but I remember reading a pdf file from the DOTD I think that had various designs for what a new bridge would look like.

I don't know why they'd put money into a bridge that needs to be fully replaced.
