We are thinking of heading to Holly Beach in our travel trailer. Is boondocking on the beach still allowed?

why is it when i look up a search of Holly Beach either on You Tube and/or Facebook from 2004 there is NOTHING as if their was no Holly Beach, Louisiana. I know there was indeed a Holly Beach Louisiana before Hurricane Katrina and it was a beautiful place to vacation with family. I actually vacationed there with my birth family and many friends quiet often in one of the many many great camps that were along the beach, camps that housed up to 15 guest that were huge and the 4th of july celebrations there before Hurricane Katrina were Awesome... this is whatever it is with the inthernet but i will bring as much focus of attention to Holly Beach and its web hidden past as i possibly can and that is what it is.

Constance Beach - "Redfish Haven" cabins by Dick and Nancy. 337-569-2190

Holly beach was completely wiped out by Rita. They've rebuilt significantly since then.

I would also like to point out that HGTV aired a show about shopping for vacation homes in Holly Beach recently. The area has been redeveloped with lots of nice homes to buy.

The realtor even showed the couple a house in Sulphur, Louisiana!

Still, there a lot of bargains down there if people wanted to get a vacation property. The risk of storm damage is the same there as it is up and down the Gulf Coast!

Default Boondocking....

Yes!...you can camp on the beach, in rv's or tents or whatever. No open fires allowed, pits or grills are fine. Keep in mind it's primitive, no electric, no water and no sewer hook ups. The only amenity is porta-potties during the summer months. ATV's are allowed in designated areas. And, please.....pack out what you pack in, contrary to popular belief, the natives DO care.
