This board needs more Anti-Jindal diatribes. No matter how much criticism he gets, it's never enough. He's sacrificing this state's future so that he can look good to people who couldn't care less about him.

It's interesting how those who have such aversion to others discussing topics, hang around to sling mud, but they don't have anything to contribute to the points or matter of the discussed material.

80% cuts to educations is a drastic assault under any terms and by any measure of consideration. the LSU Medical was tied to much of the education and education of the medical students helped many people in the Medical facilities. LSU being a State University, fits exactly within what the Preamble prescribes for governing this state, and Jindal did everything contrary to that prescription.

Trollers looking to slam something but have nothing to contribute to the subject material "seek" to diminishes the integrity and character of what this site can promote in information, knowledge and understanding, simply because they don't grasp the depth and impact of what is involved in the matters within today's challenges.. but those types won't vanish, they just go from post to post with their put down commentary, expecting it to do for that what it did in the 1950's. They are unaware the world has moved on, as we are living in the age of information, and people pursue to gain knowledge from information shared. the Old Guard diehard's who find it difficult to comprehend anything which discuss two or more variables within the same posting become perturbed and try their old worn out put down games, all the while doing nothing but further supporting their own inability to comprehend the gravity of the matters being discussed.

Many can and do grasps the series of national agenda policy and how it reverberates through to impact the states and how under various governance it can become and be devastating to states and the citizens within those states.
In the Republican ranks and the level of misinformation and omitted information is supported by 'negative commercials", "drum of a mob buzz word games", and skirt the issue and use the media talking point, as their information sources. We've watch for 6 yrs an 'Attack Obama" as being the base of their motto and the drive of their actions without ever investigating and learning the truths about anything. One thing President Obama has consistently promoted is ' respect for the working society", "respect for the student populations", and stands against big banking gouging the people, and he has from day one talked about "rebuilding American from the bottom up, where all American have a fighting chance to improve their lives". None of which has even become acknowledged by the right wing, as they have clung to the "attack Obama" demeanor so deeply until they can't digest anything else.
ACA has helped many people and the Medicare provision has been a blessing to many, and we have a state who has fought against both by a Governor who's sole aim is to be the "Republican Poster Boy". Jindal has kept Louisiana in the same devastated conditions that GW Bush left the National economy, by the single focus of Jindal and his "Attack Obama as his means to ingratiate himself to the Republican Party Agenda".
Who suffers is overt ' It's the students of this state of Louisiana , the Louisiana State Universities within the state among the many other areas of devastation he has thrust upon the state and the people.

It is so unfortunate the less educated seem to be constantly led by mis-information advertisement, fear tacticle buzz word and fight against something, and drum up a mob whenever possible.
They generally fall for the "Austerity Postering", never understanding its aimed directly at them.
Generally a false sense of stability drives many, who are under the delusion they uplifted themselves all by themselves. if injury or tragedy come to them or their family, the devastation thrust them back beyond the conditions of the 1800's.
In todays climate of economics, one should not let a couple 100k in retirement income make them become billigerent to think they are beyond poverty. It only takes a Major Injury, a devastating stroke or some calamity to come and the savings can be cleaned out long before one regains health and stability.

It's an oddity why and how the red states have the highest user of public service, yet the vote for the GOP who's aim is to cut any and all public services. It's almost insane and still they don't grasp the gravity of it.
Such ones ignore the platform which was available and the assistance they received, be it from family legacy or other provisions established by the same governmental system they constantly attack.

Some of the poor, working poor and dire poor - should go back and read - It's a Speech many could'nt and would'nt allow themselves to hear long ago, because the intensity ofracism, bigotry and bias was so high, until it kept their ears closed, they refused to hear in favor of clinging to the anguish they held inside.
but it is one they need to hear even more so today !!!!!!!

It is important and good for people to re-invest to learn from the wisdoms through the ages, Not only read, but strip away the bias in the mindset, let go of the illusions of bigotry, and actually read and hear to understand the words.

This relates to wages in the south.

You see, it was a simple thing to keep the poor white masses working for near-starvation wages in the years that followed the Civil War. Why, if the poor white plantation or mill worker became dissatisfied with his low wages, the plantation or mill owner would merely threaten to fire him and hire former Negro slaves and pay him even less. Thus, the southern wage level was kept almost unbearably low.

If one reads further it speaks to the very poor who often cling to the republican ideals, never knowing it has played upon their sensibilities, and feed them illusions, while their kids still can't get ahead and languish in the cycles of ever expanding imporvished conditions.

The cuts to educations intends to keep it as so.
