There are two areas of Bossier to relocate: North Bossier or South Bossier. Traffic can be a real pain because of how the city is laid out as Barksdale AFB pretty much splits it. So depending on what type of commute your husband wants will be the determining factor. You should be able to get to most parts of S'port-Bossier within 30 minutes... but there are some bottlenecks.

To the east, there's the Haughton / Red Chute area which may be a possibility regarding neighborhoods. To the north is Benton which is practically a part of N. Bossier.

As to where to live, shop, eat, etc.... if you're in N. Bossier, there's the Airline / I-220 area which is newer and has many shopping, dining venues. Airline traffic can be a PITA.... If you live in S. Bossier, well a quick hop across the Jimmie Davis bridge puts you in South Shreveport's Youree Drive / 70th Street area which is ground zero for a lot of retail, dining, etc.

There are two major malls in the Shreveport-Bossier area: Mall St. Vincent in Shreveport and Pierre Bossier in Bossier.

Two major medical corporations: Willis Knighton (Bossier-off Airline & I-220) and Christus Health

Anyways... check out the Shreveport-Bossier Convention Visitors Bureau for more info regarding what to do, where to eat, etc.
