I am still undecided about which one to choose.

Neither. The Democratic Party as a whole is completely in bed with the environmentalist and oppose the oil and gas industry. The deal Obama and Kerry made with Iran has resulted in a big drop in gas prices. The drop is so great that American oil rigs have closed up and workers laid off. Though our current governor is of the Democratic Party, they still have the idea that Louisiana is a "Red State". The national Democratic Party (especially northeast and northwest Democrats) have looked down upon states in the south. Another downside of the candidates for Democratic Party primary is they both still favor illegal immigration which has hurt American workers and their wages. Even Louisiana has been impacted by the influx of illegal aliens from our southern border. Though Democrats have publicly talked about loss tax revenue from American companies moving to other countries, more and more of American companies' products have been moved to other countries for production. General Motors has vehicles sold in USA that were produced in Canada, Mexico, and now China.

What we need is a USA president that puts USA first. His or her job is to do what is best for the country he or she was elected to represent. The two main jobs of the President is national defense and enforce our nation's laws. The kind of things that would benefit the state of Louisiana would mainly come from Congress and the state Legislature. The legislature decides the budget and spending. It's one thing to spend on public works projects like roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. These are necessary projects. But our state legislature has had a history of spending on wasteful projects that enrich the politicians' and their friends and family like man made lakes for example.

What a US President can do to help USA and Louisiana is to direct the US Border Patrol and ICE to enforce our nation's immigration laws strictly. Another thing he/she can do is to close American military bases on foreign soil and open bases near our border with Mexico. Then the US Military can be used as the muscle to back up the Border Patrol in dealing with drug gangs and the members of the Mexican military and police who work for those drug gangs. With the new support from the executive branch, this would give city/state police the incentive to catch and hold illegal aliens for ICE agents knowing they won't be merely released back onto their city's streets to commit more crimes. We also need a US President that doesn't look upon private business as an enemy unless they contribute greatly to their campaign or political party. Sanders seems to oppose private businesses. Hillary is two faced when it comes to private businesses. For example, she speaks negatively about Walmart and yet she served on their board of directors and receives a great deal of her money from private corporations.

Increasing the state's income tax, business taxes, and other taxes while still having horrible roads, extremely high insurance rates (auto), and making cuts to education all go a long way towards keeping new businesses from coming to Louisiana and ensuring new graduates (high school and college) will leave the state thus lowering the state population of employable workers. We need honest people in the state and local governments and stop re-electing these career politicians who've learned to abuse the system for their personal enrichment. This also includes civil service employees and contractors involved in roads and schools.

Bernie. Hillary should be in prison.

No Democratic presidential candidate can help Louisiana. The GOP needs to win. The state has already elected a Dem for governor. That's already going to make it bad enough because of all the threatened tax increases. What makes you think a Dem president is going to "help" the state? Makes ZERO sense to me.

Both parties can be severely damaging to the middle class. However, 8 years of a republican governor and legislature killing our higher education and healthcare due to corporate welfare in the billions have wrecked our budget and future.

You can't cut essentials and expect a better outcome. If you're in debt and you need to continue to work and go to school, you don't sell your car or quit school, you just quit eating out and going on vacations. Louisiana decided to quit school and sell it's car instead. Now we are here.

LA Treasurer John Kennedy Accidentally Destroys His Own Argument – CenLamar

$1.1 billion given away to fracking interests. Why didn't we pump that into infrastructure improvements like I-49 south or a loop in Baton Rouge? Higher ed?
I doubt the Legislature won't approve of a repeal of tax credits for the big wigs though.

And Vitter shouldn't have won. Either of the other guys would have stopped so many R's from voting D. But I'd rather Edwards than any of the other guys.

One thing that certainly won't help Louisiana even in the least of ways is Republican Leadership!!! We see what 8 yrs of that produced, and then the 8 yrs of Bush produced. "Disasters" !!!!!!!!
Go on back to Nixon and Reagan, the story is the same - "disaster's"
Republican play to the uneducated fringe, they play to the re-invigoration of bigotry and bias and even more so in the ranks of the uneducated dire poor and the semi-educated working poor of the Republican System.
Big Industry is the foundation of the leadership manipulators of the Republican System. they have instituted over the decades any and every means to erode workers rights, and rid this nation of its industry of which the working people once relied upon. Look at the mess Chesapeake made, once the CEO paid himself that 70+million, it has been downhill every since. Jindal promising money to industry doubled the debt he left upon the state.
The Obstructionist mentality which raged over the past 8 yrs has been a pure and clear insult to the American people and the nation as a whole.

It takes the mind of the people to truly open and see the results !!!!!

Those who want a Future for Louisiana would do well to support Democratic Agenda, it still is concerned about people as well as how to make better the nations. They are not preaching Austerity Programming, such as the likes of too much Republican Agenda preaches. Austerity on benefits the Already Wealthy to become even more Wealthy.

First Louisiana has to get rid of the Louisiana Republican Congressional People !!!!!! The Republican System and its Ideology is wrong for American. They have already shown in the National Stage as well as the State Stage, they will "Obstruct Anything" they can't get publicity and funnel things to their system associates.
No nation need attack American, the American Republican System have done so and continue to do it on a daily basis.

There is something fundamentally wrong in the Republican Systems Ideology and Mentality within the Party, the exhibition of the band of characters running for nomination tells a big messy story of mass confusion, mass aims to contain and constrict the people, they detest the thought of women being treated as equal person, they play to the bigoted angles of bias when it comes to ethnicity, and they detest anything that is designed to help the American people.

They support Big Business Indenturing People !!!!!!! They support Subjugating people to the role of voiceless minions.
They've never stopped their campaign of destruction which they don't feel they did enough damage in the Crash of 2007-2008, and they don't think they'd done enough to make higher education only available to the well to do, as they have done everything to fight against improvements in minimum wage, and they do absolutely nothing to promote corporate entities to pay a living wage and give people a progressive raise. They support big banks claiming XX billions of profit every quarter, while they are angry and want the Oil companies to make even bigger profits every quarter.
They detest the thought of poor people getting health care and health care coverage. The list can go on and one.

We have one Candidate who has the best chance to win, and that is Hillary, Sanders ideas are too drastic for Americans.
With a Democratic Governor, it is certain that Louisiana will do well with a Democratic President. Far better than it has done.
It will take us a lot of time and cost to deal with the damage of 8yrs of Jindal and 8 yrs of a stuck in the mud Republican Congress.
I'd say eventually the American people will WAKE UP, and realize that Republican Ideology and System is worst than people want to truly acknowledge, but time is continually exposing them for their insidious mode and manner. Sadly many follow the Republican agenda, because they feel its the party of white people, but they are sadly mistaken, it is the party of industry dominating people, and they use the mass of working poor and poor whites to push their agenda, because they find it so easy to hook and lead them, by making them think its the party for white people.
Truth and fact is, working poor and poor whites, will be devastated even more so if republican agenda went forward, the ratio of whites who utilize public services is multiple times great than all the minorities groups put together, at a point of 7:1 and in some localities it is far higher % ratio. But the Republican don't want the people to know the truths of their numbers as to who and how they will be impacted if Republican get their way.
Look at the attack on workers rights by Scott Walker, Go all the way back to Ronald Reagan, and look what he did to make higher education harder and cost more and lock out so many.
Go look at the people who have gotten medical care with ACA, and how much republican want to take it away and deny them the coverage and care options.
But they play to the angle to incite bigotry, and push bias, and many white people don't even see the angles of attack have them right in the cross hairs of their victim pool. We think we have a problem with nut cases killing up people, well, Thank Ronald Reagan for that too, he kicked them out of the mental institution and cut the funding for mental health care and now decades later they have morphed to mate and make more people they are unable to raise, groom and treat decent and train to be decent human beings. So, we have a mass of people on the verge of madness about any little thing, they now kill without conscience.
Most Republicans don't want to face the devastation this nation was left in by the Bush Administration, they can't see it, "because" now they can still get a line of credit to buy things they could not otherwise afford. As time exposes, they are crushed by debt, chasing the fiction of trying to live the illusions of the American Dream pushed by the imagery of the well to do in the soap opera's, made for tv drama and other things. Which is a far cry from the reality the average American has to deal with.
We see people crushed by debt till divorce is the options, then we have a mass of kids caught in the mix, from people claiming to be unhappy, because they can't meet the material and luxury lifestyle, so they claim depressed. More debt piles on and then they wonder, how did they get in this mess. Most are turned into a mass of Dollar store and Walmart shoppers, because the wage does not afford one to shop and seek out quality goods.
Go look at the mass of seniors who once thought they'd have a decent retirement, they now can't travel, can't do the things they dreamed. They find now they don't have enough money for medical care and if they have over $2,000 they can't get medicaid to help them. Some find their Co-payments swallow up a big % of pension, and with age comes a variety of medical necessities.
The house can no longer be painted when the paint oxidizes, many services to maintain their homes is now beyond their cost spectrum, so over time, their communities deteriorate.
Drive to any town, and go to any of the rural older communities and look at what you find. Some areas old Craftsman Era homes in ruins, only the well to do have been able to maintain some of them, but they've been priced out of the range of most average working class and certainly out of the range of many semi-retired persons.
