Havent driven I-10 route in several years
How bad is construction now?
Any really slow stretches?

We have been going E from DFW on I-20 to Jackson and then S thru Hattisburg to Mobile/10.

I10 eastbound entering Baton Rouge is a major bottleneck 24/7. Traffic basically is forced into one lane. This has been the case for decades and isn't changing any time soon. Everything else is pretty tolerable outside of rush hour.

I would think going through Jackson and then down to Mobile would be less hassle and a shorter distance.
