It's interesting because it's the first time we've had a new mayor since 1994. What's also interesting is the chemical and industrial expansions and what these expansions could bring to the city. The casinos have resulted in several hotels along Prien Lake Rd. Perhaps this could be a nice getaway spot for other residents of Louisiana as well as East Texas. How could anyone stay in office that long! I know I would love to see the bridge replaced before it has to get closed for deficiencies like LA 1 in Port Allen. Marijuana legalization would help explode the tourism from Texas, just imagine with Houston and Dallas being right there and New Orleans being what it is.

That is terrible. That's like the reign of a king. It would transform the state.
And it is sad, but I agree that they will let the bridge crumble before they replace it.
