Hello friends,
My hubby and I are looking to relocate to Lafayette in 2018. We have land we want to build on already purchased and are looking for a builder that will build our dream house which is a mid-century modern home. There aren't a lot of those around and so we are having trouble finding someone. We have chosen plans already, though haven't yet purchased them. Can anyone recommend custom builders that will build this style of home? Thanks so much!

You mean sort of like those houses in Phoenix?

I am not aware of many of them in Phoenix.
These would be homes that became popular by Eichler.
Many of them still exist in California.
If I knew how to attach a picture then I would.
There were classic homes built in the 50's and 60's.
Ceiling to floor windows, lots of built in's, butterfly type roofs

I would hire a local ULL architecture student if I were you. There will be no builders that build the architecture you desire and the local architects will charge a premium for this.

We have some ranch style homes, which the mid- century is a modified version of. The predominant style is Acadian.
