Hi all,

My wife is looking to move from her role of a paralegal into Retail Management. It would be a cut in pay but she is just looking for a change and maybe even go part-time down the road. We are looking for retail places on the Northshore or in Metairie. Dillard's would be one option that she could look at. She has spent time on Glass door and they have been a wealth of information.

If any of you have any feedback, we would love to hear it.

My wife is in retail management . I wouldn't recommend it . Personnel issues are her worst problem . People don't want to come to work , they lie , steal , bring their drama from home , you name it . And this is above minimum wage jobs we are talking about .

Thanks for the input. This role wouldn't last more than one to two years. Once she meets some good network contacts, I'm sure she would either move back into something more suited to her current role as a paralegal.

My wife was in retail management for a while and this couldn't be closer to the truth. It really is not worth it and she would be worked to death. Hours and 50-60 hour work weeks. I think your wife should stick with what she had, if that is what she did.
