It sounds like "Oh" might be a better choice.

No offense, but you would need a better mastery of the English language to gain acceptance into a major Louisiana university, much less to assimilate into its very southern, insular culture.

I'm a graduating ChE. I'd suggest going to the cheapest in-state school you can find. The curriculum is virtually the same anywhere you go, as it's controlled nationally. (Which means you should make absolutely certain the program is ABET certified) Do pick a school with a mandatory co-op program, as the practical experience will be a good way to learn what field you'd like to go into. ChE's work in all kinds of industries... energy, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, manufacturing, etc. Practically speaking, and hopefully you're practical if you'd like to be an engineer, it makes very little sense going to a private school. The only reason to go private or ivy league is if you're planning on being a professor.

The first two years will be a real beating. Good luck!

Default poorwater system

I was in the Monroe ,West Monroe area the water system in that area was bad,West Monroe you can fill a glass and it was so yellow it look nasty. The bath room area so stain from the water ,does any one complain to the city or state. That might be why so many people in that area are sick ,you guys have a voice you should use it or picket the water company ,you do pay for that service you shouldn't die from it
