We are moving to Lake Charles this summer but we don't have time for walk-throughs. I researched apartments, read reviews and looked at pictures but pictures can be deceiving. Can anyone recommend apartments from personal experience in Lake Charles that are safe and a good place to live?

I once wandered the Manor and was shocked how they live there. Expect higher risk of crime at night on 5th Avenue and do not walk it alone.
Lake Charles will never riot like those bigger cities but its best to stay away from those who want to.

Why? It has to be job-related. There's really no other reason to move there.
