If some day the population grows as well as metro population an a stadium deal would that be enough

No. Austin nor San Antonio have one and we effectively have a legacy team one hour away that the whole gulf coast loves. Not happening.

Never know if a billionaire comes along an invest something here are built new sporting venues & buildings it might draw interest also if could get a population of New Orleans are more they might have a chance.

Are sure about that i think BR are Shreveport has a better chance than Lafayette its much more smaller

Lafayette is better protected from hurricanes than any other city along I-10 and has a healthier economy than Shreveport. It also passed Shreveport for the 3rd largest metro area.

Barring a major lithium discovery, Louisiana doesn't have any money for another team.

I think Baton Rouge is more protected and more inland from hurricanes than Lafayette is. Though I'm not saying there will be an NFL team here. Things are fine the way they are with LSU in Baton Rouge and the Saints in New Orleans.
