Austin Village is a nice new area with well constructed homes, access to the neighbor hood can get a bit hectic at times because of traffic on Verot School road. Ambassador Caffery Extension should help alleviate some of the congestion. Its also close to everything, Hospitals, Shopping & good schools private and public. Other areas you may be interested in Copperfield, Copper Meadow, or Sugar Mill Pond, they are a bit further out, in Youngsville (fastest growing area in the parish) access to these areas should improve with the completion of Ambassador Caffery. River Ranch is also nice, but hire a good Inspector not affiliated with the development. I know a few people who bought homes there and some of them are shoddy cheap construction and are have lots of problems with their homes, and not worth the headache. Plus in Austin Village/Cove you'll get more for your money. Hope this helps John
