It is actually, there are a few unincorporated areas in the parish outside of LC that are really nothing more than a street, that really could be annexed.

Default Socks??

SOCKS??

You mean somebody actually checked socks??
I did four years with Uncle Sam and nobody ever checked our socks. (LOL)

The schools were also insanely weird/strict. One of my sisters, after leaving the bathroom, had a teacher tell her to take off her jacket and when she found some of the shirt in back untucked, she gave her a detention. My sisters said they also frequently checked their socks at the middle school they attended. They had to wear a solid color and couldn't mismatch them. (Yes, because SOCKS are that important. Geeze, you'd think there WAS a military base with that attitude)

Maybe there's a tradition of worrying about the well being of students ... checking to see if they're okay?

I suppose the biggest concern I have is how angry that guy got with you for just voicing your experience.

Are you SERIOUS?? ((LOL))

"Nature always cleans up the oil spills"??

Patna ... can you tell us how many cases of cancer in your neighborhood will have to occur before that happens?

How ... how ... how ... many other illnesses and birth defects?

How many incomes and livelihoods have to be destroyed ... before that happens?

How many species of wildlife have to go extinct ... you know ... before that happens??

How many other areas of the country does that polluted rain have to fall on before that happens??

Oh man ... dude ... this here is one small planet and it's 2012. Man... we're all interconnected. Have you been watching how many places in the world are now unliveable due to environmental damage?
