Default I thought I'd bring back some memories for my fellow Louisianians w/ these photos!

If you are from anywhere in Louisiana [and born in 1990 or earlier], you remember this store quite well. I was driving one day and I noticed that this logo was never removed from the back door of the store!

You know my mom always said she went to K&B, I've never seen one. Where is this building?

This building is on West McNeese Street in Lake Charles. K&B (Katz & Besthoff) was acquired by Rite Aid in 1997. The drugstore chain was headquartered in New Orleans, where the bulk of the stores were. This was a gulf coast chain. In my hometown we had about 4 or 5 of them. I was 10 years old when they got bought out so I've got some memories of going in there as a kid. In many rite aids, in fact, you will still see the purple "prescription" signs. ought out so I've got a few memories of going in there as a kid. I remember the purple everywhere. In fact you will still see the purple "perscription" signs in many of them. I also remember those huge tubs of K&B brand ice cream! Most of all, I just remember the at home feeling that Rite Aid simply lacks! (Also begging mom for candy in the check out line).
