How many out there have lost their jobs or are in danger of losing their jobs if things don't soon pick up. I've seen many of my coworkers go home here lately and I know my job will be lost soon as well.

Thanks for the advise but until I have to, I'll have to hang around here. I haven't lost my job yet but it seems likely that I could. We had 8 more to get a notice that this would be there last week just today. I work in south Arkansas. They are telling the ones affected by this that they can transfer to south Louisiana or Houston but I don't know how many will. We are comparing it to a war. Every week we lose a few more good men then someone else has to get on the front line to catch the next bullets.

Well Stacie, I guess we are the only ones affected by this crisis. I'm just happy to know it's not as wide spread as I thought.

I guess so! I do know that something needs to change and fast! My hubby heard gas prices will be $4 a gallon by Easter! I know with my hubby is making we can not afford that! We will have to get a horse and wagon I suppose!!!!

Don't want to change the subject, but are there any oilfield jobs out there? I have a class A CDL with tanker endorsement, and a few years of experience in cementing and fracturing. I've been doing odd jobs to survive since being laid off by Schlumberger two months ago.

Does it have to be a oil field job? I think associated out side of Monroe LA is hauling pipes you can go there and apply! You have to be there at 6am

That's bad in one way but in my little feeble mind, that tells me that things would have turned around if gas goes up.
