I had to leave the state to find a decent-paying job that actually used my skillset. My father recently closed his Shreveport business because his customer base dried up. I have friends still in SBC that are worried about their jobs and looking out of state. Things are rough.

I understand that a company from California bought the chicken plant in Farmerville and saved several hundred jobs.

What kind of jobs do people here want to see being brought in to Louisiana? What kind of jobs are people looking for?

I think our state is best suited for manufcturing and petrochemical processing. We're not exactly a "Silicon Bayou" kind of place.

We need to be out there recruiting. Either by having Economic Development and/or the Governor engaged.

That a good idea! One thing I thought of was cleaning the state up! Maybe painting some over passes and planting flower or something to make the state look more presentable! Getting rid of the dumpster would help greatly! People do not even throw their trash in it most of the time and it just flys all over the place!!
