Good feedback. I am also thinking about moving to mandeville. I live in the Washington for 15 years in the Georgetown NW area close to American University. I am used to and comfortable living with dominantly caucasians. However DC is very cultural, I have all the embassies around me and have met so many people around the world. I am African American and I was born in the carrebean. My kids have never experienced racism before even though we've lived in A 95% white neiborhood. They are still young 9 and 11 and I don't want them to start experiencing racism now...my choice of living has always been the best of the best in any city and off course those are normally predominantly populated by Caucasians. I do not want to stop that therefore moving to LA, so far I thing mandeville is where I want to be. Researching schools, mandeville has the best rated public schools 9-10 which is one of the most important factor for me in moving to any area. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You all will be fine in Mandeville. I never had any issue whenever I was in Mandeville. It resembles Georgetown a lot in terms of racial makeup, but obviously isn't as cultural as Georgetown or the rest of DC.

Plenty of reasons not to be here, most jobs they offer are min. wage, the people......well lets just say me and my husband have created a theory that the pesticides sprayed in the air have rendered them a little retarded. On top of most of them having no common sense and not being able to drive, they are just incredibly rude. They will always treat you like they are better than you. The children here are ill-mannered and nosy just like their adult counter, and you can bet your bottom dollar come February next year, i'll be out of here. *Don't waste your money on the move, this place really sucks* No matter what the internet tells you, this is not the promise-land.

Please move here. It is so unnerving to go 3 days without seeing any persons of color! The racial attitudes were REALLY hard for me to get used to when I moved to Mandeville. That is a Louisiana problem though and it is everywhere. Mandeville is nice, the schools are great and the property is cheap. I would doubt that you and your children would run into problems.

IF DAVID DUKE STILL LIVES HERE I AM MOVING THOUGH.
