I bought a house from a couple that owned it for 30 years, the disclosure stated that they never had a problem with flooding, standing water, seapage or water of anykind, ever. The weekend after closing it rained and the house and garage, driveway all flooded and ruined a ton of my stuff that was being stored in the garage while I had the new flooring and painting done.

Every time it has rained it has flooded, over 31 times in a year and a half.

An illegal drain was discovered on the property that the city is threatening me about, they want it disconnected, I refuse, otherwise the entire house will flood, I have to time my runs out to the drain with the lightening to clear it from debris, the trees around here are always dropping petals, leaves, little seeds or something.

We had the property inspected, but most of all I felt I could trust them since they lived there so long, and are supposed to tell the truth.

there is evidence of repairs in the garage hidden by built in shelves.

I want the court to release me from this house, I will never be able to sell it telling the potential buyers that oh yea, it floods when it rains, and it is not in a flood zone, I suspect that the landscaping is the problem and have had quotes to try to repair the problem, over $50K, I just feel I was ripped off and want out. Is this a reasonable response?

I also want damages, cost of a move, legal fees and costs.

Thanks in advance for your information

I'd say go after the seller, real estate company and the inspectors...Take your paper work "the disclosure stated that they never had a problem with flooding, standing water, seapage or water of anykind, ever." to an attorney if you need to. But DON'T let them get away with this...

And see if you can find any past claims under a flood insurance policy...

Never assume folks are telling the truth when it comes to money.
You think they have your best interest at heart?

Put it back on the market as a duck hunting camp. It sounds like what you ended up with.
