I'm trying to find a source for BARF or Prey Model foods in Louisiana. I'm in Lafayette and am happy to drive a couple hours to find a supplier I like. Anyone know of anywhere?
Thanks.

Not understanding why you would want to travel far for a purveyor of BARF diet approved foods. Any pet supply will do.

Thanks, but I feed raw and "regular" pet supply stores don't carry what I need. I'm willing to travel because the shipping runs around $50 for a one-week supply for my dogs. Much more economical to make one trip and load up my vehicle with as much as I can fit in.

I asked my vet about this yesterday when I had our two 5-month-olds in for their booster shots. Her opinion was that adhering to the BARF diet VERY CLOSELY will benefit you only a little, and, in fact, may leave your pets lacking some essential nutrients. In her opinion, Blue Buffalo and Nutro dog foods are superior while costing a little less than following a BARF regimen.

Our two oldest dogs don't care much for either of these brands (both very picky), but my wife and I are conscious of the fact that most national brands have corn in them, and have avoided these for years.

Vets don't understand. I too am looking for a raw meat supplier for my two great danes. We are moving down to New Orleans shortly
