Hello

I recently moved to Louisville and I am living close to the summit mall but my job is in University of Louisville Hospital and I do not have a car yet so what do you think about the public transportation here since I will have to leave early in the morning and come back late some times..

thanks in advance

TARC is the only local public transit service. Their routes are posted on their website which is: TARC: (http://www.ridetarc.org/default.asp - broken link).

You should be ok.

mind if I ask what residency you will be pursuing? I am a 4th year medical student

some of my friends live near the summit and they take the bus to campus in the mornings. the bus is usually +/- 10 minutes depending on traffic/crowds.

i know as a resident sometimes early rounding means coming in at 4 or 5 in the morning...not sure if there is a bus that runs that early. also, it is nice to be able to go home after things are done on the service...so look into getting back home also.
it is a little harder to ride the bus in the winter

also, riding around 8/9, i think my friends said sometimes you have to stand the whole way (~20 min).

hope that helps

They will be as reliable as or more so than owning a car. Depending on your communte times, traffic can be bad.
