Hi folks,

I read my payslip today and found that there is a type of tax which is titled as "Clark". Since I live in Clarksville, IN, I assume that it is Clark County Income tax. Would anyone please give me some details regarding this tax? I am not able to find any info online due to my poor web searching skills.

Thanks,
Oldfisher

Perhaps you should post that in the Indiana forums.

Every county in Indiana charges a county income tax based on where you live. Here are the rates:

Why? Clarksville is closer to downtown than where you are Missy. Southern Indiana suburb discussion clearly belongs in this forum and I would like to see more of it.

Unfortunately, I dont have an answer to the OP. I wish I could designate a Southern Indiana "submoderator."
