Any recommendations for good thrift stores, flea markets, and junk emporiums in the Louisville area? My wife likes to find high end clothing for cheap. I could go for good deals on dude stuff: vintage cameras, binoculars, telescopes, tools, and mechanical gear.

You could try the Peddler's Mall. There are several locations in Louisville. You never know what you will find (although it can take some sorting through junk!)

There's also a huge flea market just south of Louisville in Shepherdsville, off I-65. Their website says they have 350+ booths and it's open Saturdays and Sundays year round, from 9am to 5pm. The place is huge, so wear your walking shoes! Just like nlschr0 said about Peddler's Mall, you might have to sift through some junk, but you never know what you might find there. Good luck!
