We are not particularly religious, but thought that by perhaps joining "The Temple," we would make some social contents in Louisville. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Good luck! I was surprised there even IS a temple in Louisville! I think if you were Baptist it would help more - there are lots of them here!

Give me a break. Some of your posts border on trolling. Louisville has one of the larger Jeiwsh populations in the SE outside ATL and S.Fla of course, and has at least 8 Jewish Temples and Synagogues that I know of.

Also, as an FYI, Catholics outnumber baptists in Louisville and there are thousands of nonreligious. To the OP, why are you making the move back to Louisville? I recall from the hotbytes forum that you went back to Milwaukee because you did not like it?

I do not troll..but it's always been my experience that people who live in undesirable places take great offense to criticism, while those who live in desireable places have a more live and let live attitude. So be it.....

"The Temple" is the largest reform in Louisville, and the other Reform is smaller. There is 3 other congregations in Louisville which are Conversative and Orthodox. All of them have social events where you can meet people.

I am moving back to Louisville since my wife has been here for two years. We are about to purchase a home. I, by the way, was not the person who posted the negative comment.

I am not the person who left the unflattering response by the way. I am moving back to Louisville because my wife still has her position at U of L, and the economy has not turned around to the point that we can both retire and move to places beyond the grid. We are about to make an offer on a house on Jarvis Lane off of Brownsboro Road. I do hope there are no hard feelings since Louisville will soon be home for me.

I know that but anyways if your closer to "The Temple", it would be a good choice. That is a wonderful place with wonderful people. They have so many more social activites than the rest around the city. Also, if you were single, there is more singles there than the other places. Warning: membership is more there than others around town.

By the way, we ended up buying a house in the Sutherland sub-division in Prospect. I hope we made a good choice. Thanks for all your advice.
