I have a teenager coming there over the holidays and want to know what he would be able to do fun / activity-wise. Obviously, there's no skiing, snowboarding, etc. so what else is there to do?

You could go to Paoli Peaks if you're looking for snowboarding/skiing. It's only an hour-ish drive from Louisville.

Uh, no........We could go to Colorado, etc. for that sort of thing. What I'm trying to find out is what is there for a teenager visiting some friends who live there and aren't going anywhere but there.

There is a great place in Louisville for teenagers as well as adults. They have bowling there and tons of games. There is a bar for adults and they serve food too. Here's the website:

Unfortunately, we've been there............on a Field Trip for school (believe it or not,) and it is OK. But, the bowing suggestion, whether there or elsewhere is very good. That and maybe ice-skating. This 15-yr. / 16-yr. age is difficult!

It was an idea. I was only there recently for a single's event and was amazed by all they have. We have numerous of bowling alleys here. We also have 2 ice skating rinks. When I was her age, I use to ice-skate. Also growing up here, we use to have a bunch of arcades with pinball games and such. I have no idea if there is anymore. I don't have kids and hope these suggestions help.

Girl,

Yeah......we've been there and done all that. The biggest fun will be to hang out on Bardstown Rd., but not if it is below 50 degrees. We're spoiled now! Lovin' the mild temps since we've moved and not looking forward to cold.
