Hello! We are considering a move to Louisville from Atlanta. We are from Kentucky originally, but not Louisville. We will likely live in the city (Highlands or St. Matthews) - we've been commuting to work from the suburbs for 10 years and aren't interested in doing it anymore! We have two young children, the older of which is currently doing well in a private Montessori program and the younger of which is still a toddler. Unless we hit the public school jackpot, we will likely send our kids to Catholic school when it's time for elementary school.

What are my options for preschool in those areas (or between them and downtown, where we will be working)? St. James and Sacred Heart are possibilities. I don't know enough about them yet, so any information you guys have about those for preschool would be great.

My new possible job has an on-site daycare, so we do have a place for our kids to start. Our 4 year old will need something more than daycare by the fall.

TIA for any guidance.

My oldest is a toddler right now and we're seriously considering the Latin School in Crescent Hill (between St Matthews & downtown/ a great place to consider living as well).

Welcome to Highlands Latin, a private school in Louisville KY | Highlands Latin School, Louisville KY

I agree with their educational philosophies and having on-site daycare at work will be beneficial for you on the days that they're not in class.

Thank you for your response! We are making the move so my head is spinning with all sorts of decisions right now.

Thanks, also for recommending Crescent Hill - I hadn't looked there before and it looks right up our alley (at least online).
