Video - WAVE 3 News - Louisville, Kentucky (http://www.wave3.com/category/195955/video-landing-page?clipId=5556070&autostart=true - broken link)

This is a piece about how some soldiers from Ft. Knox are having a problem with Mike Jones built homes in Vine Grove. This hits home as one who is living in a new home in Vine Grove. It is appalling that Mike Jones homes could not do better by our troops.

Alanboy395,

I also live in Vine Grove. I do not live in a Mike Jones Built Home but live in the subdivision in question. Mike Jones Built Homes are not what Wave 3 is portraying them as. The complainer's issues really are normal settling issues. I have abnormal issues in my home, built by a different builder, My issues thankfully are repairable but not normal. One of the individuals complained about water pooling in the subdivision, That is NOT Mike Jones Built Home's responsibility, its the subdivision developer's responsibility, Dee Downs. The individual complaining about not having landscape, he has been in his house 1 month and the weather has been below freezing, I don't think its a good idea to lay sod right now. In the clip, one of the families is allowing their child to pull on a stair railing, well how many times has the kid done this, yea it probably shouldn't come loose to quickly but if you let your 2 year old do pull ups on it, its probably going to come loose.

I think it is pathetic that Wave 3 turned this into a Soldiers are being ripped off story, when that's not the case. Mike Jones is an honest guy and these individuals are truly difficult people. I wish I would of known about Mike when I was looking for a place to live, Id rather be in a home built by him than my current house.

Stephanie

I'm not sure where the truth lies, except probably about half way between the news story and what Mike Jones says. It's my experience that these things are rarely 100% any one person's fault. It's usually spread around a little.
