I am a private chef who recently moved to Louisville from Tampa, FL. I was previously one of the main chefs in a Dinner Club that we had once a month in Tampa.

We had a multitude of members that ranged from Attorneys, Realtors, Housewives, etc.

Our dinners were always themed around something that was going on at the current time of the year (Mardi Gras, St Patricks Day, etc).

I am looking to re-create the same sort of Dinner Club here in Louisville, mainly in the St Mathews section of town in which I moved with my family too.

I have been perusing the city-data forums for years, as I have been to this city numerous times in the past, but figured now that I am here for the foreseeable future, it was time to make my first post.

Just trying to get some feedback on whether this is something that people may be interested in. This is already a fantastic food city compared to Tampa, so the need and desire (big hit in Tampa) might not be the same here in The Lou.

It would work, but the foodie scene in Louisville is about twice that of Tampa. This is the wrong forum. Try joining at LouisvilleHotBytes.com The foru host is Robin Garr and there are some SERIOUS foodies there who meet up quite often. Louisville is easily a top 20 restaurant city (and I think at times it may push top 10, I am just amazed at how good the restaurants are for its size).

Yes, what stx said. Be aware that you need to sign up using your real name at hotbytes.

Also, as somebody who lives in St. Matthews, your dinner club idea sounds great!
