Does anyone on here live in the area? What do you guys think of it? Is it safer than other neighborhoods like Old Louisville? I've heard it is an up and coming area, but that is about it.

Great area. Up and coming big time. Five restaurants to open in the area by the end of the year in addition to the dozen or so that currently exist. Safety wise its similar to Old Louisville if not safer. Probably less car break ins, but you may have some vagrants associated with Wayside Homeless Shelter. Both hoods are very safe unless you are a thug or a gangbanger selling drugs or looking for prostitutes. If I recall, you need to walk to the med center. This area s great for that.

Here's a great one:

Downtown Louisville - 1 Bedroom Loft (http://louisville.craigslist.org/apa/2224766004.html - broken link)

These are great secure condos with parking....if you can get these for around 1000 a month on a 2 year lease, go for it! Also private gated parking. Sweet location.

Also this, more in downtown proper....

Just look theres tons of options. If you want, run a place's name or address by me before securing a lease. You may PM me if you want.

Hello!

My son is relocating to Louisville Mar 3, 2015. He is looking at the Park Edge Apartments in NuLu and also the Henry Clay (although parking is an issue) He wants to be close to work which is on Industry Rd north of the airport. Any suggestions?
He is 27 and single.

Thanks!

Both great and emerging areas. 310 at Nulu looks nice. It is an urban area though, and there are a couple homeless shelters nearby, but I would say it is fairly safe.

The Henry Clay is a bit more walkable, but then parking is an issue.
