Is there a "Louisville style" pizza? Or any other regional foods

Whether it's regional or not, Moby Dick & Kingfish are local fish houses. Wick's Pizza would likely be the closest to a "Louisville" pizza, and who can overlook the original Papa John's Pizza? Hot Brown and the cheeseburger claim Louisville as home, too.

I consider Impellizzeri's and BoomBozz to be Louisville style pizza. They seem to be heavier on the fennel for the sausage. Impellizzeri's deep dish is really more like a casserole.

They are nothing like New York corner slice shops but good eats for sure. I consider them Louisville style pizza.

Excellent post.... I don't disagree with your assessment. Just proves that Louisville is about eating well, not just some old one size fits all.
