I'm mostly thinking about the weather, but I guess other activities could be factors. I think September is usually pretty great- weather wise. End of April, early may is obviously good for all the derby activities. Other opinions?

October. Weather is usually perfect, and the St. James Art Show rocks.

I really miss Octobers in Louisville. The weather starts to get colder, but not too cold. The leaves are changing. Football is in full swing and basketball is just around the corner. I miss pulling out the warmer clothes. Watching the sunset over the Knobs as you can see colors you normally don't see thanks to the changing trees.

Early October. A couple of years ago our family visited in mid-October and unfortunately it was during a cold spell.....got warmer the day they left.

September/October. Hopefully the weather will be decent so i can do some walking in my new neighborhood. I also liked late May/early June a lot.

Last night (August 6) was amazing! The weather was perfect - we stayed outside visiting with friends for hours.

Hi, yet another person votes for September (and October) here. It's still warm and sunny, but the humidity goes down so the warmth doesn't mean opressive heat-dome! Perfect time for going the parks and you don't need much more than a long-sleeved shirt until dusk (if that...). I also like the end of March because all the snow is gone and the trees are getting greener by the hour.

The only two nice weather months in Louisville ARE September and October. Spring lasts about 2 weeks these days and I definitely dislike Summer and Winter weather in the Ohio Valley.
