Every now and then, you'll see a couple guys picketing out in front of a business or building around town with a big sign that says "Shame On You, Brasch & Barry." Does anyone know what this is about? Someone said it had something to do with union construction labor, but I've never been able to figure out any more than that.

They are a general contracting firm that has been around for about 20 years or so. Not sure what the fuss is.

I saw two guys holding that sign on Newberg Rd and it had Bellarmine University on it. Likely a dispute involving blue-collar labor.

Yikes! So your default answer, without knowing any details at all (like the actual race of the protesters) is this? Sad.

Just so you will know, most of us here actually try to add something of value to these conversations. I encourage you to try that with your next post. Or maybe stop posting in this forum and start posting in the political forums where narrow-minded claptrap like this is the norm.

They were outside Eddie Merlot's for the entire second half of last year and first part of this year... first protesting the construction company, then briefly protesting EM itself. They were originally an entire chain of protestors walking around in a circle, then when it switched to just EM, it was two people holding up a sign.

As a lifelong resident of Louisville, I have seen these clowns protesting all over the city, so yes, I know who they are.

So if you know, tell. Who are they? Why are they protesting?

Answer from another forum:

"Most of the "shame, shame" signs - we see them all the time on 4SL - are paid picketers. They are usually day laborers that have no idea why they are there. I mostly see them protesting non-union labor situations. funny - day laborers do not have union!! (Written by an unwilling Teamster)"

No claim to the validity of this statement.
