from your experiences, do you know of any (relatively) cheap or mid-priced furniture stores that will deliver furniture to an apartment downtown? i need a bed and/or couch pretty badly and i don't have $2,000 to spend at the high-end stores, or a truck to bring it home on from the thrift stores.

thanks in advance if you can help direct me to the right place!

We used Furniture Row up in Clarksville, they delivered several pieces to our new home without issue, and good prices. I would steer clear of Louisville base they don't have the most in stock and are kind of in sketchy area.

And hey it's Labor Day so that's a win for deals too. We bought our first living room set from Furniture Row when we lived in Iowa on a labor day weekend, and had pennies for cash at the time.

My mother bought some reasonably prices furniture from Value City off of Preston and they delivered to her home in Vine Grove.
