A couple of my buddies and I are taking an RV from Mass to the Derby this year. We are looking for a place to park our RV for 2 nights. We have been looking at the derbyparkexpo5. It is $500 a night for a space. Is that way too overpriced? How is the derbyparkexpo? There are 7 of us so money is not the biggest issue, I just don't want to get ripped off too bad. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Website says it's $500 for the entire fun-filled week and weekend of activities, not just one night. If you only stay one night during that time, then.... it would be $500 a night.

The good news is that you would only be one-mile walk. I'm sure others will chime in on 7th street; which makes Taylor look like convent. But, it's Derby and Derby festival brings out the best in everyone.

Its basicly the flea market on 7th street its ok in the day time but i wouldn't go out at night over there. The area is full of bars strip clubs and 7th street is known for hookers walking the street at night.I live off berry blvd i hear shots fired every night and police cars are normal over here.I would try Kentucky Exposition Center (http://www.kyexpo.org/parking/ - broken link) its on the other side of churchill downs maybe a 2 mile walk if that or they do a bus shuttle over to it its like 10 or 15 a person but its round trip tho.
