Whats a good gym in St Matthews area? I swim and do Zumba so I prefer free classes and a pool.

Baptist East Milestone center is probably just what you're looking for. It's a little more expensive than some of the other gyms but it's a nice facility and well managed. Baptist East Milestone Wellness Center | Louisville, KY

I also agree that Milestone is the best not just in St. Matthews but in the general Louisville area. They keep the place clean and if anything isn't working you let them know and they fix it soon. They also close the place down once a year for a week and update equipment, clean more than the daily stuff, paint, and so much more. No, I don't work there like it may sound. I've been a member for like 20 something years. Check out other places and then check out Milestone. You'll see the difference.

I have been a member of Urban Active (now owned by LA Fitnes) as well as the YMCA. As a swimmer I like Urban Active's pool better. However, the YMCA has a better class schedule for me since I work a full time job and can only do classes in the evening. Both have various locations for you and a guest (who will be free for so many visits) can attend.

I think for a young professional, the Urban Active (now LA Fitness) in St Matthews on Shelbyville may be the best bet. Also, you can use any LA Fitness in the US should you travel. Baptist Milestone is a great facility though.
