I am researching Raleight/Durham as well, so I read the Raleigh/Durham board also; and those folks are always posting pictures. Everyone posts their photos, realtors too. They consolidated many of them into a "sticky thread" so that the photos would always pop up at the top of the screen. They just put them into the forum like any other thread - pics of snakes, or the State Fair, or neighborhoods, or who has the worst lawn, or their meetups, etc.

Just a thought if you're of a mind to take some more photos while you're out and about and wouldn't mind downloading them from your camera and into a thread.
Virgo, I am starting a project to create a sticky of pics of the Kentuckiana area. I will start with my favorite and the city's most unique urban neighborhoods...I am sorry to all this project has been delayed as I have been so busy.

Default Contirbutions

Hey stx (is this short for St. X, BTW?),

Just a quick reminder...I will be in Louisville for the Thanksgiving weekend touring around and taking some snapshots of some favorite areas and homes.

On another note, if there are any other architects, designers or hobbyists out there and want to help actually build Louisville for Google Earth. Please IM me and check out this link...

Yay! Okay, I must be patient! Pant, pant,

In all seriousness, it is a kindness when people take the time to post photos. They certainly don't get paid for it, so it is most appreciated when they do it!

Oh, yippy skippy on this! I use Google Earth all the time to see aerial shots of the L'ville area. Hope you'll be able to get lots of help. I bet it's a daunting task. Good luck!

I'm in VA, btw, so I can't be of much help.

I think that several realtor's pages have photos and descriptions of neighborhoods.

Here's one I found on Google, which focuses on a handful of east end suburban areas:
