I am relocating to the area and am curious to know which subdivision is most active/tight-knit with lots of activities in which to meet other families-Longwood or Hillcrest? Very torn between the two. Thanks for sharing any insight you have. The subdivision I live in now is very active with extensive Halloween activities, easter egg hunts, pizza parties, etc. Just curious if this is to be expected in either community. Also, if you have insight on Goshen vs. Harmony elementary, that would be helpful also.

Thank you!

One of the most advantageous aspects of Oldham County is there is the homogenous lifestyles and attitudes of the people who live there. Hillcrest is beginning to pick up a bit of age, so the typical family is more likely to be high school, college, or post-grad as far as the children. It is amazing how this works, but new subdivisions of any price range typically attract people with younger aged children.

I have never lived or been in Longwood much, but Hillcrest is highly recommended.
