Hi,
I am relatively new to this web-site but here is what I am asking... I have just about lived all over and was impressed with Louisville. I am also impressed the stock of shotgun houses you have there and have found them very interesting... (I've had big houses before) and because I will be going back to school at the University of Louisville within about two years I am interested in areas that I should look in... I would want a safe area and diversity doesn't scare me, actually I prefer it. But I was wondering again what areas to look in that would be close to the University and the downtown areas. Any areas I should pay close attention to? I like to walk sometimes, so this is key in my search as I sometimes like to go to a restaurant after work. Yes I drive but sometimes I do prefer to walk or ride a bike to some of my destinations... (Sorry for the thousand questions) but was wondering about your snow days there as I am not much of a driver in the snow! Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks,
Dave

Very good recs, Tom. If you like shotguns, look strongly at Germantown. It has a strong counter culture vibe and also an old, working class mentality with taverns on what seems like every corner. PM me if you have any more questions.
