Hi everyone,

I accepted a job offer with Humana two weeks ago, and still haven't received a confirmation
of a successful background check. A third party company actually screens for potential candidates
educational background/employment, ect. Is this normal since it is such a large corporation? I did receive a call a few days ago from HR saying my background check was almost complete..Just makes me nervous it has taken this long. Thank you

I had an SP86 check done for a homeland security job, and after 3 months, I told them just to forget it, I have another job. Im sure yours wont be that bad, but with all the places Ive lived, it became highly problematic for all three agencies. Due to the nature of your new job, Im sure they are doing a very thorough one. If they say they are almost done, and you havent had any phone calls asking you to clarify things, you should be OK. I bet in 10 days you start work. Good luck!

Hello. What was the outcome? My situation is similar to yours. I got blessed with word yesterday about a offer for an customer care specialist. My offer letter had a start date, wages and info to start the background check. They said by Wednesday I'll get my drug screening papers. Have you heard word op? You'd think all this would be done before a offer is made. I'm clean on everything. It's still nerve wrecking.

I'm still waiting to hear that my background was successfully completed. I have nothing in my background to hide just nervous I guess. I've accepted the offer and everything. I just haven't resigned from my current position.
