I been roaming around the craigslist and other places the last few days and keep seeing a pattern. We need a place to rent in Louisville as my younger kids and I are living at the Economy Inn right now.

I have poor credit. We have good rent references, never missed a rent payment ever. What's the deal with all these "credit checks"? I mostly got messed up on our credit rating cosigning for offspring and .. well, my oldest kids damaged our credit pretty bad and put an eviction on my record.

Is that the day and age now? Good credit or check into a homeless shelter or a roach motel? Seems like it...

Any apartments or houses around 600 a month (or less) in the Louisville area that don't do credit checks? I've made umpteen phonecalls and numerous emails and .. maybe it's my luck, haven't found one yet. I'm not very picky, just want a place to live and willing to part with money every month.

I'm getting frustrated

You may try Ramey and Associates .They have some cheap apts around Southern Parkway. My Ex sister in law rented a mobile home on Newburg Rd in some park near Bashford Manor years ago they rented by the week and I think utilities were paid. Good luck in your search .
