My manager drove to Nashville last month and she said it was down to 1 lane for about 10 miles. Is it still this bad?
Cincy is way out of the way. There's no need for that. I just made the trip to Indy last weekend and there were no problems at all from here to Indy. The backups might be in downtown Louisville with the bridge construction, but probably not at the time you're coming through. As mentioned you can just take I-265 west around New Albany, cross into Louisville via I-64, then take I-264 east in Louisville back around to 65 on the south side if necessary.

Fun tip: make sure you actually slow down to around 55-60 when you get to about exit 9 (Sellersburg). The state police watch that stretch from there down to Clarksville pretty close some days. Sometimes a cop sits at the top of the off ramp of exit 7 and watches for people to go speeding by. I've never gotten a ticket through there, but I've seen plenty of others who have.

I will be heading back down to Florida next week. Has construction been completed yet?

We ended up going down I74 in February and did not have any issues. Until we hit Georgia and it started snowing lol

In downtown Louisville, construction is not done.
