What's the best internet provider in town? In my current city, I have AT&T Uverse and really like it. How is Time-Warner's service? What are the other providers in town?

Time-Warner has actually done what no one thought possible. They took over a bad service and made it worse. If U-verse would up it's speed game, it would be ideal.

U-verse is definitely your best choice here. As Tom mentioned Time Warner has taken a service that was bad and made it worse and Comcast is in the process of buying them out which was taken down another step.

The city has put out feelers for a provider of Mb service over fiber. This adversary will be a long-term process to get installed and operating and I'm sure initially it will only be available in specific areas with high demand.

If you can get U-verse in your neighborhood, get it. I had Insight (before Time Warner bought them out) internet in Louisville and it was mediocre. The others are right about Time Warner.

Time Warner was bought out by Comcast, but things aren't yet settled of when they will take over. I hope not cause it is not a good thing.

The offer has been made in accepted but the buyout have not yet received the blessing of the federal government. until they receive the federal government approval is not a done deal and there is actually some question whether it will be approved.
