I'm moving to the Louisville area to be with a significant other in July. I am having trouble finding a job. I have a B.S. in Criminology / Criminal Justice. Any recommendations? I am looking for anything really. It does not have to be in my field. Thank you.

Yes, use a temp agency like Aerotek. The vast majority of open jobs aren't listed on sites like CareerBuilder but are filled through temp agencies. I recommend visiting the agency in person as they don't always respond to emails

Lots of bridge work for yrs. And they may need security of a sort. Maybe try some of the bigger acts in town and see if there are jobs enabling upward momentum-yum center, churchill, cordish expanding from 4th, kfec, uofl. Even try humana for a non justice job

Indeed lists over 13,000 jobs for the Louisville area, maybe one would be right for you.

Depending on how you feel about being a police officer, Louisville Metro is always looking for more cops

Using sites like that are questionable because the jobs they post on there don't mean that they are looking for anyone to fill those jobs. When companies use these listings, no one from HR looks at the applicants and is more automated.

Is Applying for Jobs Online Not an Effective Way to Find Work?

I suggest to create a LinkedIn profile and use that to look for work. I had and I actually had much better luck. I even had real human beings message me for an interview.

Check out Craigslist. (Obviously, make sure it's legit.) Like 94BuickCentury said (Had a Buick Century 2001 btw...LOVED IT!!!!) don't rely on Indeed, Career Builder, or Monster.
