My parents currently live in Chicago (Southside, Mount Greenwood, specifically) and plan on moving to Kentucky when my father retires in six years. My dad has always loved Kentucky, but my mom agreed to move there only if it's Louisville (because she's use to city life). My father is Irish and my mom is Polish, and would preferably like to stay in a neighborhood demographically similar to Mount Greenwood. They also wouldn't like to live in an "up-and-coming" neighborhood, but more like a neighborhood that's already set and ready. Any suggestions?

Our city is different than Chicago and we don't have any areas where specific to ethnic groups. We do have an area called "Germantown" and there is a lot of people with a German Heritage that live there, but not every one is. There is also an area where the Jewish people live too, but there are other faiths that live there too like Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, etc as well as Afro-American families. Anyways, I am familiar with the Chicago area, but never been. I've heard that they have areas of different ethnic groups, but we don't have that in Louisville.

I'm sorry, but I can't suggest. Do you live here~? You could find out what their likes and dislikes are. Cause if you found them a place, they may not like the area. Do they want to be in walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants~? Do they want to be in a condo or a patio home~? Or perhaps, do they want to be in an upscale area where the cost of living is pricey or an area with a low cost of living~? These are only a few questions to get you started to help your parents and if you live here that would help them as well.

*BUMP*

Try a real estate agent who could help your parents better than this board or myself. They have the knowledge and helps people locate from other city.
