JCPS and other education boards across the country that loose sight of the objective primary objective which is to educate and become diverted by social engineering goals. If they want social engineering maybe they should hold 'camps' during the school year where kids from different schools & neighborhoods can intermingle and sing 'kumbaya'. Someone needs to educate our educators on the KIS (Keep It Simple) principle. As for me, I'm a proponent of school vouchers. We could probably cut 40% of the school budget by axing all the bureaucrats at head quarters, stop spending money busing kids all over town, and give the teachers more control of their class rooms. Honestly, what middle eastern oil sheik doesn't love our system of busing kids all over town?

Several good reasons. The professional teachers of JCPS are outstanding! It's the administration and political crap-o-la that destroys a great opportunity. Jefferson County Schools are full of great teachers and students hampered by idiotic politics.

Reason # 2. Once you are successful in the JCPS environment, you can step into either Oldham County or one of the superior parochial/private schools in the area.

Reason # 3. Living in this area is a fantastic place to be a young professional. It's not a wild and crazy place, but it's a great place to live, work, and grow. Getting to those wild and crazy places or the beach is very easy from Louisville airport/highways.

Reason # 4. You will discover once you get here.
