Wondering if anyone can recommend good, reliable and trustworthy auto repair stores in Louisville? I need to get side of my car fixed after being hit by a deer. My insurance wont cover it and I dont have alot of money to spend. I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

I've never needed auto repair or auto body repair in Louisville, but I've heard good information about Conn's Body Shop at 9903 Taylorsville Rd, in or near Jeffersontown. I've never had any experience with them, nor even drove by and noticed any such place, but just heard a rumor that they were one of the best for the money.

I could be late to respond, but the best bang I've ever got for my buck which was at a fair price for a pretty bad wreck, was at Lamberts in Camp Taylor. My family and friends have brought a lot of cars there for repairs. Only con is (although last time I was there was 3yrs ago) that he seems to have so much business that it takes awhile to get finished, but it's worth the wait. I got into a nasty wreck in 2012 and had $6,000 of damage to my car and it took almost a month to fix, but if you saw the car now you would never had even guessed it was wrecked. Paint matched beyond perfectly and everything was lined up well. I still have that car today as my backup vehicle and still not a single problem mechanically or body wise.

Also Southside Body Shop is really good, but probably one of the most expensive shops I've ever got a quote from.

Ashley's Auto Service/ Chevron in Fern Creek, at 5924 Bardstown Road, is a great place. My parents have gone there for 20-plus years, and I've been going there for about 8 years. Great honest auto repair.
