It seems that people who work in metro Louisville pay an occupational tax of up to 2% of their income.
If you live in Oldham Co and don't work in the Metro area, is there an equivalent tax levied by any local towns?

Default Oldham's struggle

Short answer, no occupational tax in Oldham County.

Long answer, Oldham and Boone Counties of Kentucky are two "bedroom" areas of Kentucky struggling to provide the infrastructural demands of fast growth, citizens demands for services such as police, fire, and ambulance while hog-tied by a gross income formula for property taxes rather than a percentage increase. This means simply that in 2006 Oldham County might have received $1,000,000 in property taxes which limited 2007 taxes to $1,004,000 or 4% gross. This number is law even though there were another 500 homes built.

Hard to be sitting on the fiscal court right now.
