I think all the project are still going to happen, but not until the credit/ loan crisis ends - that could be several years.

With gas prices heading toward $5+ a gallon look for a huge population and shopping boom near Downtown.

Cordish will do whatever they want with little if any regard for following appropriate procedures.

Exactly!
I'm sorry L'Weatherman, I'm not trying to be ugly, but...
You'll find this is sort of a sore spot with lots of folks from out in Jefferson County. We don't much even want to think about Cordish or Center City. While all this downtown development is great, the money has to come from somewhere. and guess where lots of it is coming from?
Jefferson County was swallowed-up when the city became 'Metro Louisville' ahhhhwile back. The city wanted our population numbers (to outclass Lexington as the largest city in Kentucky) and our tax revenue. So we're helping to pay for Mayor Jer's whimsy, and our Councilman didn't even get a dang vote. (No one's Councilperson did.)
In the meantime, we've had several swimming pools closed in the county, Otter Creek Park got screwed, our disaster waste removal and our recycling facilities suck, and the list goes on.
So no, I don't really care if it ever gets built...
